Ella James, Here - Review - BOOK TOUR

Ella James - The Book Tour

To celebrate the book tour and the release of the second book 'Trapped' In the HERE series by Ella James, Here is a review of 'Here' and some information about 'Trapped' to wet your appetite.

Milo Mitchell's life used to be charmed, but that was before her family dissolved, she went a little crazy, and her best friends started acting more like strangers. Spending Saturday morning in a tree house with a stun gun for company and a herd of deer for friends is the only exciting thing in her life...until she shoots a fawn and finds her dart stuck in a guy.

Her gorgeous victim is dressed in a Brioni tux and armed with a hanky. He has no idea who or where he is. Afraid her dart caused his amnesia, Milo takes him in, names him Nick, and vows to help him solve his mystery. Soon the pair find Nick's face in a newspaper obituary, and Nick beings to have strange, ethereal memories of Milo--who is sure she's never met him. Suddenly Nick knows things he shouldn't know and is doing things he shouldn't do. When the Department of Defense shows up, Nick and Milo run--toward a shocking conclusion that could destroy both their worlds.

I feel very ashamed to say this but this is the first Ella James book I have read, and let's just say I loved it! Recently I have been on a huge fantasy/paranormal kick and this book was just what I was looking for. I am so glad that I was asked to be apart of this tour and I can 100% say Ella James has gained a huge fan as I will be reading more and more of her work in the near future.

This book start off with with us meeting Milo, I actually really like that name I am all for unusual names and this one most certainly qualifies. Milo is having a terrible time, her father has  died and her world feels like it might be falling apart and she is unsure of where she fits in. Wanting to feel a connection to her father she takes up tracking and tagging deer until one day she has an accident and shoots a deer with a tranquilizer, Only it turns out not to be a Deer at all but a boy.

Once she has calmed herself down and taken the boy home she soon discovers that he has no memory of who he is, where he came from or anything else that could possibly identity him. Taking it upon herself to look after him she names the boy Nick and attempts to help him but that is when things start to get a little strange; For one the power in the entire area is blown out but the Television in her house still manages to work, Nick  somehow turns into a boy genius and is able to remember crazy scientific facts and fix a number of random objects, Then Nick's face turns up in the newspaper under the obituaries but she knows he isn't dead after all he is staying with her.

Soon the Department of Defense show up in town and Milo begins to realize that Nick is going to need her help more than ever if he is going to remain safe, there are so many questions she wants to ask and no one to give her answers. One thing is for certain she trusts Nick and there is defiantly some major chemistry between them.

The characters in this book drew me in and left me wanting . . . no NEEDING more I cannot wait until I read the second book of this trilogy. It was pure genius and is most certainly worth a read for anyone who enjoys a good paranormal romance.

A huge 4.5/5 stars for this book.

Here is the second book in the series - Out soon - TRAPPED

CONTAINS SPOILERS - DO NOT READ IF YOU HAVE NOT READ HERE.

When Milo Mitchell falls for the beautiful, tuxedo-clad guy she found wandering her family's rural Colorado property, she never dreamed he was a scout from another galaxy, or that their relationship would leave him with an impossible choice: eradicating humankind, or initiating the end of his own people.

Nick's job is finding the elements his people need to power their elaborate interweb of minds. Being a scout means he is capable of traveling to other planets on his own. It also means that, unlike The Rest, he has access to primitive feelings and individual desires. For eons, he was part of the whole, but when he encountered Milo, his obsession with her changed everything.

Nick's partner, Vera, is capable of independent thought, but not compelled by it. She is satisfied with her existence as one of The Rest, and she won't agree that humans are worth sparing; not when their planet has a precious cache of the gold her people need so badly.

While Vera tries to force Nick into endorsing an Earth invasion, working behind the scenes to tie his hands, and the Department of Defense lays a trap for them with Milo's mom as bait, Nick and Milo are waging their own war - against a primal desire that can only lead to one thing: heartbreak.
